This year's event received an overwhelming response from aspiring young artists, with 163 works of art submitted from 11 schools within the region. A panel of jurors carefully reviewed the submissions, selecting 77 outstanding pieces to be displayed at the museum throughout the month.

The highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of awards to 14 talented individuals whose works stood out among the rest. These deserving winners will receive awards in the form of Dick Blick gift cards, providing them with the resources to purchase art supplies and further nurture their artistic talents.

"We are thrilled to celebrate the creativity and talent of these high school students at our awards ceremony. This competition not only recognizes their artistic achievements but also serves as a gateway for them to explore the opportunities available within our art program," said David Snyder, Director of the Greer Museum.

Members of the community, parents, and art enthusiasts are invited to join the awards ceremony and witness the remarkable artworks created by these promising young artists. The Greer Museum looks forward to welcoming guests to honor and support the next generation of artistic visionaries.
