Testing Services
The University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College Testing Center is located in Room 101 of the Bob Evans Farm Hall building located at 65 Bevo Francis Way, Rio Grande, OH.
The testing center, open Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, offers a variety of testing services to both campus and the general community and is a Pearson Vue Select site.

GENERAL INFORMATION
TEST-SCHEDULING (campus/faculty)
- Faculty are to use the form below to schedule regular, make-up, and accommodation-related tests
- All accommodation-related tests are required to be scheduled and administered in the testing center (main campus) or scheduled with an Academic Center Director (at Academic Centers).
- All tests must be scheduled at least two business days in advance.
TEST-SCHEDULING (professional/other, etc)
- Schedule online through the appropriate vendor (ParaPro, PearsonVue, ACT, etc)
- ACT Residual – campus use only/scores are nontransferable. Contact the Testing Center and inquire about the dates offered.
TEST-SCHEDULING (College Credit Plus placement)
- Contact the Testing Center at (740) 245-7004 or testingcenter@rio.edu to schedule the Accuplacer Placement. When scheduling, students may request to test at one of the Academic Centers. Students may review and practice taking the Accuplacer assessment here: Free ACCUPLACER Practice Resources – ACCUPLACER | College Board. Students under IEP or 504 plans may be eligible for testing accommodations. Contact Rio’s Office of Accessibility at accessibility@rio.edu or (740) 245-7366 for more information.
TEST-TAKING
- Test takers need to arrive for check-in 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment.
- Appointment times are firm. Late arrivals may be subject to rescheduling. If a campus-based test, faculty approval will be required prior to rescheduling.
- Acceptable ID will be required for identification purposes. This may be a student ID, driver’s license, etc. The acceptable form will be determined by the type of test being taken.
- Only items permitted by instructors or test sponsors will be allowed in the testing room. Cell phones, book bags, purses, coats, and other personal belongings will be required to be placed in a locker.
PARKING - Temporary parking permits may be obtained through Campus Safety.

Rio is a member of the National College Testing Association (NCTA). Students are monitored by proctoring staff and audio/video surveillance while taking an exam.
TEST SCHEDULING FORM FOR INSTRUCTORS/FACULTY
This form is for instructors/faculty only. Complete all sections and submit one form for each student no less than two business days prior to your preferred test date. Scheduling priority will be in the order as received. Instructors/Faculty will be contacted by email if the requested time cannot be scheduled. Incomplete forms/forms missing information (such as student ID) will not be considered valid. Testing materials may be emailed to testingcenter.com, or brought to the testing center prior to the scheduled exam time.
