McArthur Center

Thanks to the generosity of a donor, every student attending the McArthur Center will receive a tuition-free education! This includes full coverage of institutional costs such as books and fees, eliminating the financial stress often associated with pursuing higher education.

Currently located in the former Vinton County High School building, the McArthur Center offers a variety of degree and certificate programs, including several healthcare programs and general studies. Rio was recognized in the 2024 Best Healthcare Degree Programs Ranking in America, by Research.com. In Spring 2026, a new 22,000 square foot center will open in McArthur, bringing even more educational opportunities to local students.
