Each entering student is assigned to an academic advisor who provides assistance in preparing semester class schedules appropriate to the student’s declared program of study. Each student who has declared a major, minor, or has indicated a career preference on the ACT, will be assigned to a faculty member for advising purposes in the school of his or her declared educational or career objective. All other students will be assigned to the New Student Advising Office where assistance in scheduling courses and making decisions about a major is provided. Upon selecting a major, or when changing a major, students must complete a Change of Major Form, available from the school secretary or Office of the Registrar. The completed form must then returned to the Office of the Registrar.
