Financial Aid Update

Currently, the Department of Education is experiencing significant delays in providing institutions of higher education with processed 2024-25 Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

As of January 30, the latest communication from the Department of Education, is that institutions will not receive 2024-25 FAFSA applicant information until “the first half of March.”

This delay has affected our ability to send out financial aid award letters, for the upcoming year, in a timely manner. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.

As soon as we receive more information from the Department of Education and processing resumes for the 2024-25 FAFSA, we will promptly notify students of their financial aid award.

Our priority is to ensure that our students have the support they need to pursue their education at Rio without any undue stress. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Financial Aid Office at 740-245-7218 or finaid@rio.edu.
