The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College seeks a full-time, non-tenure track teaching position. This Visiting Assistant Professor position is for one academic year only (August, 2019, to May, 2020), with potential to be renewed or extended to a permanent, tenure-track position. The area of specialization is open but should complement an existing focus in Counseling/Integrated Care.
Candidates must be able to teach some combination of the following psychology courses: General, Personality, Social, Physiological, Research Methods, Cognitive, History & Systems, and others may be included per candidate’s specialty. The ideal candidate will also contribute to the growth and restructuring of the psychology program. Involving students in research and working with students on senior theses is an expected component of the position. Student advising, scholarship and service to the university is also required.
