This course emphasizes principles and practices of effective records management for manual and electronic records systems. Students are taught the indexing procedures and rules developed by ARMA that apply when working with computer or paper files. Emphasis is placed on the need to under-stand the record life cycle within which information functions in the organization. This course is a blended approach to the study of records management: traditional paper-based and electronic using Microsoft Access. Two-hour lecture, two-hour lab. Course fee required.
