A comprehensive course designed to give technicians a working knowledge of mechanical power transmission devices. Included will be a study of bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, fasteners, and other mechanical devices used in machinery subassemblies, speed reducers, belt drives, chain drives, gear trains, torque converters, and other mechanical devices used to transmit power. One-hour lecture and four-hour lab. Course fee required.
