11:00am to 3pm Residential Freshman Move-In for Boyd and Davis Halls.

11:00am to 1:00pm Lunch in the Marketplace: Lunch is free for all students, parents and family.

3:15pm to 4:00pm Presentation: Family Goes to College at the Fine Arts Auditorium: Parents will learn how to help their students transition to life at college.

4:00pm to 5:00pm New Student Convocation at the Fine Arts Auditorium: All new students, residential and commuter, are officially welcomed to Rio.

5:30pm to 7pm Dinner in the Marketplace

7:00pm to 8:00pm Small Groups in the Davis University Center, Conference Room C: Make connections with your LA 10001 (Gateway to Success) classmates and compete to win prizes!

9:00pm Late Night Movie on The Green: Grab a blanket and join us for a showing of an exciting movie. Popcorn will be provided.

Friday August 17, 2018

7:30am to 9:30am Breakfast in the Marketplace    

9:00am to 10:00am Small Group Scavenger Hunt    Rhodes Student Center: Grande Central    Get to know campus while working in your small groups. Be sure to wear walking shoes!

10:00am to 11:00am Interactive Session with Advising, Success & Engagement    Fine Arts Auditorium: Learn more about support services and extra-curricular activities through competitions with your small groups.

11:00am to 1:00pm  Lunch in the Marketplace

1:00pm to 3:30pm Academic Takeover    Academic Departments    An opportunity to meet the faculty of your academic department. Learn more about your program, classmates and faculty.

3:30pm to 4:30pm Ice Cream Social in the Wood Hall Courtyard

4:45pm to 8:45pm  OPTIONAL: Monty Python at the Welsh Medieval Festival    Markay Theatre in Jackson    Students interested in attending should register here. Transportation to and from campus is provided. Meet at the Rhodes Basketball Court. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WQTDRFH

5:00pm  to  7:00pm  Dinner in the Marketplace

8:00pm to 11:00pm Late Night Bowling at the Skyling Bowling Center    Transportation to and from this event will be provided. If you require transportation please meet at the Rhodes Basketball Court at 7:30pm. A bus will run between campus and Skyline throughout the event. Students may also transport themselves.

8:00am to 5:00pm  Bookstore Open in the Rhodes Student Center

9:00am to 1:00pm University Offices Open  Rio Campus:  Have questions or concerns? The offices of Student Affairs, Advising, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and Business will be open to help!

9:00am to 1:00pm Residential Upperclassman Move-In Holzer and Wellness Halls    

11:30am to 1:00pm  Lunch in the Marketplace    

1:00pm to 5pm "Down on the Farm"    Bob Evans Farms    Let's hope for good weather! Students will have the option to kayak on Raccoon Creek, fish, hike or mountain bike around campus. Meet at the Rhodes Basketball Court where you will be led to your destination.

5:00pm to 7:00pm  Alumni-Sponsored Dinner    Soccer Field

11:30am    1:00pm    Brunch featuring Student Engagement/Employment Fair in the Marketplace    Representatives from student organizations will be on hand to talk about opportunities to get involved on campus. Also, find out who's hiring on campus and if you qualify for work study funds.

12:00pm to 5:00pm Bookstore Open in the Rhodes Student Center    

12:00pm to 5:00pm  Rio Day  Bell Tower    Bring family and friends out for an afternoon of music, inflatables and refreshments.

5:00pm to  6:30pm  Dinner in the Marketplace

9:00pm to 12:00am Late @ Lyne at the Lyne Center: All amenities of the Lyne Center will be available for students including the pool, fitness center and racquetball courts. RAs and SLCs will be hosting volleyball and basketball tournaments.
