How long have you been attending at Rio?
This is my 4th year at the University of Rio Grande.

Over the years how many different courses in the School of Sciences have you taken? (Estimate if you can’t remember exactly )
I have taken approximately ten or more different courses within the School of Sciences.

What one science course—not counting this semester—was the one that you have found the most fascinating/interesting so far at Rio…and why?
I found the environmental science that I took with Dr. Sigismondi to be very interesting.  We worked with different species to determine the quality of an environment as well as ways to prevent and/or clean up oil spills and other catastrophic disasters.  I thought this was very insightful and helped me to be more informed about my surroundings.

What is your favorite food?
I enjoy almost any kind of Mexican food or Italian food it is hard to choose just one.

What is your favorite all-time movie (or two)?
I enjoy most action/adventure movies, but my all-time favorite movie would probably have to be A Knight’s Tale.

Describe the part of taking a course you like the most.  (For example:  sitting in on lecture, participating in a lab, the taking an exam, writing a term paper, etc.).   Why?
The part of a course that I enjoy the most would have to be lecture.  Although this may not sound like the most fun, I enjoy trying to figure out problems posed by the professors with the knowledge we are obtaining throughout the course. I think that bringing everything together is a great way to demonstrate what can be learned and make new discoveries. It is also interesting to see demonstrations and learn how specific things function.

If you could give an incoming (i.e., freshman) science major one piece of advice of how to succeed (i.e., learn a bunch) during their undergraduate years at Rio, what would it be?
Make sure to star working on something more than one day before it is due.  Do not always wait until the last minute to start on something.

What is your favorite quote?

My favorite quote would have to be

“The more you read, the more things you will know.  The more you learn the places you’ll go.”
-Dr. Seuss
