URG launches MBA for Working Professionals
RIO GRANDE, Ohio – The University of Rio Grande announced the fall launch of its MBA for Working Professionals program, which can be completed in one year with limited on-campus requirements for less than $20,000.
Rio’s MBA program blends a rigorous curriculum with convenience and affordability to meet the needs of working professionals. Students complete the majority of coursework through online webinars with just three Saturday residencies required per semester.
“The benefits of an MBA are well documented, not the least of which are enhanced professional networks and increased earning potential,” said Jason Winters, Professor of Business and Director of the MBA Program. “As a 2008 graduate of Rio’s MBA program, I am living testament to those very facts. My increased knowledge base and skill set as a result of the program led to the creation of Higher Ground Pet Crematory, which today consists of six affiliate locations in four counties across two states.”
Professor Winters also serves as Director of the Center for Small Business Entrepreneurship.
Rio MBA students enjoy one-on-one attention from exceptional faculty as they gain the knowledge and skills necessary for career achievement and advancement. The program also provides hands-on experience through the Center for Small Business Entrepreneurship to master essential skills in management, critical thinking, problem solving and communication.
The rigorous nature of the MBA program requires an undergraduate degree for admission, as well as five prerequisite courses: Accounting Fundamentals, Principles of Management, Microeconomics, Probability and Statistics and Business Law.
Admission into the MBA program also requires a proficiency profile, application, personal statement, three letters of recommendation, personal interview with MBA admissions committee, official transcripts and work experience. The MBA program also is available on a two year, part-time track.
