The University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College Masterworks Chorale will present their fall concert at 3:00 pm on Sunday, 22 November 2009 in the Fine and Performing Arts Center. The program will include Schubert’s Mass in G, as well as seasonal works by Rootham, Howells, Wilhousky, Thomas, and Price. This concert is free and open to the public. The Masterworks Chorale, comprised of 32 members from multiple disciplines on campus and the community, is under the new direction of Clay Price, the Rio Grande's new Director of Choral Music. Mr. Price comes to Rio Grande from South Carolina, where he is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of South Carolina. Having a passion for teaching and inspiring young artists, he taught middle and high school for eight years in Alabama and the Carolinas, where his choirs received regional acclaim.
