RIO GRANDE, Ohio – The annual Spring Concert of the University of Rio Grande / Rio Grande Community College Rock Ensemble will feature songs selected by band members at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26 in the Berry Fine & Performing Arts Center.

The playlist includes songs from the The Black Keys, The Beatles, Modest Mouse, 3 Doors Down, The Who, R.E.M., Bob Dylan, Blondie, Stone Temple Pilots and others.

“I have a member’s favorites concert every other year or so,” said Dr. Chris Kenney, Rock Ensemble Director and Music Department Coordinator. “It gives a sense of the Rock Ensemble student’s tastes, and gives us a chance to work on songs that I may not have thought of, or even known about.”

Rio Grande’s Rock Ensemble features Jeremy Martin (bass), Andy Milliken (guitar, vocals), Tyler Phillips (guitar, vocals), Skyler Thompson (drums) and Ally Waddell (keyboard, vocals).
