The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College Class of 2013 included five graduates from the School of Allied Health Radiologic Technology Program.

The School of Allied Health is pleased to announce the accomplishments of the Radiologic Technology Class of 2013. Graduates, along with family and friends, were treated to light refreshments and an evening of recognizing achievements during the Radiologic Pinning Ceremony on May 7, 2013. Special awards were given not only to students, but also clinical instructors and other healthcare professionals who have contributed to the success of the Radiology students at Rio. Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRC) Student Award
The JRC Student Award is given to a student who stands out among their peers.  Comments on the students' work ethic and radiography skills were provided by radiologic technologists and/or managers who worked with the students.  The final decision of the recipient is made by the Radiology Director, Tracey Boggs, and Instructor and Clinical Director, Chris Barker. The recipient of the JRC Student Award was:

Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRC) Site, Tech, or Radiologist Award
The JRC educator award is given to physicians (radiologists) that enhance student’s clinical education with film reviews and case studies. The radiologists have also volunteered their time with the Radiology Instructor and Clinical Instructor, Chris Barker, to go over newer studies or share changes that are occurring in the radiology departments that might not be reflected in textbooks. The recipient of the JRC Site, Technologist, or Radiologist Award was:
