A. Overview

From the time of its humble beginnings in 1876, the University of Rio Grande has provided Southeastern Ohio with teachers. Today the university provides some of the finest educators for the region, the state, the nation, and the world. With 27 programs leading to licensure or endorsements, the Bunce School of Education is a major component of the institution. The conceptual framework, Windows to the Future, aligns the mission of the university with the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession.
