MBA in Entrepreneurship

The MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship provides students with an understanding of and experience with the “entrepreneurial process.” It provides competencies and skills to both launch a new business and function successfully in an established corporation with entrepreneurial management strategies.
The program is open to all students with business or non-business undergraduate degrees. However, students with non business degrees must satisfy five prerequisite courses prior to enrolling in the MBA program:

• Accounting Fundamentals
• Principles of Business Management
• Microeconomics
• Statistics
• Business Law

These pre-requisites may be earned at the University of Rio Grande (See Pre-MBA Program) or at any other accredited college in the U.S. or elsewhere. Full-time students pursuing this degree and taking 12 credit hours per semester will be able to complete thirty-six (36) hours in three semesters as a cohort group. However, students taking less than 12 credit hours would take longer to finish the degree. Working adults opting for evening format will be allowed to take no more than two courses per semester. A suggested course sequence has been developed for guidance.
