Ohio University Associate Professor of Art Karla Hackenmiller will conduct a workshop for URG students and the Rio community on Thursday, February 7, from 9:30-1:30. Ms. Hackenmiller will be demonstrating engraving techniques using modern materials, rather than the traditional copper plates. High Impact Polystyrene Plastic plates, engraving tools, paper and inks will be available for any student or community member who would like to attend. This will be a hands-on workshop, so each participant will be able to make an original print in the workshop. This workshop is free to the public, but space is limited, so interested parties must register by January 16 in order to secure a spot.
