The mission of the School of Nursing is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges and opportunities encountered in the nursing profession. Recent emphasis on promotion of health, prevention of illness, as well as advances in caring for the ill, have opened new areas of employment and have created added responsibilities for practicing nurses.

Assessment is an ongoing process within the School of Nursing. A variety of activities are used to assess students throughout the Nursing Program.
