The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences comprises four schools: School of Humanities, School of Social Sciences, School of Sciences, and Holzer School of Nursing. The mission of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is to provide a liberal arts background in the areas of humanities and social sciences, specific competencies related to mathematics and sciences, and career programs related to the disciplines within each school. The college provides the foundation of the courses within the General Education Program that promote critical thinking skills and bridge the knowledge and competencies from a broad-based, educational program to specific careers and occupations.
The Holzer School of Nursing prepares students for varied careers in the profession of nursing and in various health care settings as a registered nurse. The Schools of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences equip students for a variety of careers within the disciplines offered as degrees in each of the schools, in addition to supplying service courses for other degree programs in the other schools within the university and community college, and providing the majority of courses for the General Education Program.
Please refer to each particular school's section for degrees, programs, and other information.
